lol ill finish writing this soon , all of the thoughts are formulated in my head, i need to get them out and get them organized. i think this is a really important topic. also the title is really bad LMAOOO i couldnt think of anything rn

for some reason people think that bringing a group of people together is enough. its not even close to enough. its just the first step. a good culture and having people feel safe doesn’t inherently arise from just having ppl in one room who are trying to achieve a common goal. you cannot create a culture by just writing down values. i tried this before. it doesn’t work.

it needs to be fostered and needs to start from leadership which then trickles down to members / participants of the group. the work doesnt end once you bring a group of people together to achieve some goal, thats actually when the work starts

copy pasting communities is not possible and doesnt work. especially if its in an entirely different region with an entirely different culture. it takes a lot of fine tuning and understanding of the culture you are operating in to successfully create a community.

saying “this is a safe environment” doesn’t make it a safe environment lmaoooo
